If you need to make changes to a project that you've already uploaded to Net-Inspect, here's how you can do it.
When you upload a project to Net-Inspect, you have the option to append or overwrite a project that has already been uploaded:
The "Overwrite" function will simply erase the indicated FAI number from your Net-Inspect database, and replace it with the data that currently exists in your Ideagen Quality Control Pro project file.
If you choose to "Append" to an existing FAI, any new data in your Ideagen Quality Control Pro project will be added to the existing project data for the given FAI number in Net-Inspect. It's important to remember that any changes that you make in your project and subsequently append to an existing Net-Inspect FAI will not change any of the existing data previously added to Net-Inspect.
In this example, a project was uploaded to Net-Inspect that included a multiple quantity for balloon number six:
In Net-Inspect, the uploaded data shows in form 3 as follows:
If you were to expand balloon six into two characteristic numbers ( 6.1 and 6.2) in your Ideagen QC project like this:
and then append the existing FAI in Net-Inspect, the appended data would look like this:
The modified characteristics ( 6.1 and 6.2) were inserted after the original characteristic number. You would need to manually delete the original characteristic from your uploaded Net-Inspect project.
